I just joined about an hour ago and I find your piece absolutely fascinating. May I ask?... Did you hand paint the silk after gluing it onto the copper? It's absolutely gorgeous.

No glue or painting on colour involved in the making of these moths. I grow the copper on the silk in a process called electroforming. It takes a lot of time and special perpetration.
